WOW, WOW, WOW!

A heartfelt thank you to EVERYONE who contributed to the FEMALE. Community, FEMALE. Essentials Handbag Campaign—our 7th year running in celebration of International Women’s Day!

Together, we proudly collected 137 new and recycled handbags, each filled with the essential items requested: sanitary pads, tampons, deodorant, moisturizer, toothpaste, and toothbrushes. This incredible achievement wouldn’t have been possible without the support of each and every one of you who generously donated a bag—THANK YOU!

The heartfelt appreciation from the women in shelters shines through, showing the tremendous impact our community has in providing support and encouragement. Your kindness is making a real difference, and together, we are empowering those in need.

Let’s continue this journey of compassion and connection and inspire even greater change together!

Its our 6th year running!

Over the past 5 years, the FEMALE. Community has proudly collected 1,160 new and recycled handbags, each beautifully filled with 5 essential items for women in need such as:

Tampons

Sanitary pads

Deodorant

Toothpaste

Tooth Brush

Moisturiser

These bags are not just gifts; they are symbols of love, support, and empowerment for women in shelters across Malta. This International Women's Day, we want to remind these incredible women that they are not alone and that they are valued members of our community.

Let’s come together to uplift and inspire them, showing that their strength and resilience are recognized and cherished. Your generous contributions can help us continue this vital mission of connection and support.

Together, we can make a lasting impact and empower women in our community.

Any one is welcomed to drop off a bag at the following locations below.

We raised A NEW RECORD of 282 new & recycled hang bags filled with the 5 essentials requested: sanitary pads/ tampons, deodorant, moisturiser, tooth paste and tooth brush.

FEM. LADIES ESSENTIAL HANDBAG CAMPAIGN 2022

We raised 326 new & recycled hang bags filled with the 5 essentials requested : sanitary pads/ tampons, deodorant, moisturiser, tooth paste and tooth brush.

FEM. ESSENTIAL HANDBAG CAMPAIGN 2021

IT was a success!

It took 2 days and at least 20 trips between the handbag collection spots and the donation locations to distribute 242 handbags!

FEM. Founder Dana Carmont and Co-Founder Natalie Couto delivered the donated handbags to the following shelters and social service centres for women in Malta:

  • Dar Hosea

  • Agenziga Appogg

  • Dar Merbik

  • San Blas Therapeutic Community

  • Fondazzjoni Dar il-Hena

  • YMCA Malta

  • Dar Sant Anna

All of the recipients were extremely grateful for the donated handbags and expressed their gratitude with kind words, happy tears, thankful emails and letters of gratitude!

ESSENTIAL HANDBAG CAMPAIGN MARCH 2020

We dropped off 147 recycled FEM Ladies Essential Handbags.

The campaign started a week prior to International Women’s Day.

Each bag was filled with 5 essential items such as tooth paste, tooth brush, soap, moisturiser, tampon packs, pads, lip gloss and a scarf!

The bags were delivered to Women for Women Malta, who then distributed these handbags to womens’ shelters to help women in need.
